Eastern Shoshone Red Feathered Eagle Tribal Vocational Rehabilitation’s mission is to assist American Indians with Disabilities living on or near the Wind River Reservation. Our Services find and help our Participants maintain gainful employment and learn skills necessary to live more independently.
The Tribal Vocational Rehabilitation (TVR) Program works!
The American Indian Vocational Rehabilitation Services (AIVRS) – is a federally funded program provided by the U.S Department of Education, Rehabilitation Services Administration.
This program is created specifically for mainstream employment, self-supporting, self-employed and educational focus.
The impacts are significant for individuals and the entire Tribal community. Many individuals are self-supporting after Tribal VR services.

This program is to help American Indian people with disabilities integrate into the workforce. Provides financial assistance for the establishment and operations of VR services program for American Indians with disabilities living on or near a federal of state reservation.

Our Program
Data shows that Tribal VR works! Outcomes are comparable to state VR, and Tribal VR changes communities, one person at a time. People thrive in their communities, working with VR Professionals who speak their Native language and understand ways of being and doing in one’s community. The impacts are significant for Tribal Communities. Tribal members experiencing disabilities are able, with Tribal VR services, to add to the success of their communities through their talents and skills.
